Dr. Steven D. Cowgill  was raised in Lebanon Oregon, graduating from Lebanon Union High School in 1979.  He attended Oregon State University where he graduated in 1983.  He continues to support the Beavers and anything Orange.  Dr. Steven Cowgill received his Degree of Medical Dentistry in 1987 from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. After graduation, he moved to Oklahoma so that he could work with the Indian Health Service.  While in Oklahoma he worked in a hospital for two years gaining a depth of experience in their fast paced clinic.  He then returned to Salem where he has been in private practice since 1989.

Dr. Steven Cowgill has many accomplishments and hobbies.  When he is not staying up on the latest technologies and techniques in dentistry, he can be found enjoying the great outdoors or participating in activities with his church.  Most of his time, however, is spent devoted to his family, wife Deb and their two daughters Katie and Stacey.
